Dr. Benoit Gaudou is Associate Professor, HDR at the University Toulouse 1 Capitole from 2010 and hosted as a researcher by the UMI UMMISCO of IRD. He obtained his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Toulouse in 2008, about the formalization in modal logics of social attitudes (group belief) and its application to agent communication language. After 2 years of a postdoctoral fellowship at the IFI (Hanoi, Vietnam), he started to focus on agent-based modeling and simulation of complex (socio-environmental) systems and in particular on the integration of complex agents (in terms of cognition) in these models. From 2010, he is involved in the design, development, and training of the open-source GAMA platform (http://gama-platform.org).

He has published his research in international and national journals (18 articles), book chapters (18 chapters) and articles in international conferences (56 articles)from 2006. He was also part of the edition of 3 conference and workshop proceedings.

His researches have been funded through many national and international research projects (e.g. ANR, CNRS, AFD,…).
